This is the privacy notice of We Want Your Motorcycle. In this document, “we”, “our”, or “us” refer to We Want Your Motorcycle, a trading name of STV Motorcycles Limited.

We Want Your Motorcycle is a trading name for our second-hand motorbike buying service. We Want Your Motorcycle is owned by our parent company STV Motorcycles Limited, which is a company registered in England (UK).

What personal data we collect and why we collect it
Personal and Motorcycle Related Data
When you enquire and submit your details about your motorcycle to us, we will collate and store only the data and images you supply in order to assess and make a decision about buying your motorcycle. We need this information so that we know who you are, how to contact you, and have the required details regarding your motorcycle.
The following personal and motorbike details will be collated and stored:
- Your full name
- Your email address
- Your telephone contact number
- Details about the motorcycle you wish to sell, including:
Make, model, colour, vehicle registration number, mileage, date registered, MOT expiry date, road tax expiry date, other information you have supplied to us via the Bike Details form.
- We will also store any images of the motorcycle you supply to us via the Bike Details form.
We may offer visitors to our website the opportunity to engage with us. The purpose of engagement is primarily for marketing information to keep you up to date with news or offers related to the products or services we offer. When you engage with us, we will collate and store basic personal information, namely:
- Your full name
- Your email address
If supplied, we will use these details to personalise and communicate to you about news or offers that we feel may be of interest. The communications will be in the form of an email with details (or links to details) to various forms of information related to our products and/or services. If you find you are no longer interested in the information we communicate to you, you can ‘unsubscribe’ at any time to communications from us. We will supply a link in every outbound communication that will allow you to do this.
Please be aware that unless you inform us otherwise, we will continue to send out information to you as described above. This may be on a regular or irregular basis.
If you leave a comment on our site you may opt-in to saving your name, email address and website in cookies. These are for your convenience so that you do not have to fill in your details again when you leave another comment. These cookies will last for one year.
If you have an account and you log in to this site, we will set a temporary cookie to determine if your browser accepts cookies. This cookie contains no personal data and is discarded when you close your browser.

If you upload images to the website, you should avoid uploading images with embedded location data (EXIF GPS) included. Visitors to the website can download and extract any location data from images on the website.

Articles on this site may include embedded content (e.g. videos, images, articles, etc.). Embedded content from other websites behaves in the exact same way as if the visitor has visited the other website.
Who we share your data with
We do not and will not share your data with any third party. Therefore, you can be confident that your data will remain with us only.
How long we retain your data
Bike Details Form
Any data you provide, in relation to both your contact or motorcycle details will not be kept for more than 31 days. We will automatically remove you data monthly.
If you leave a comment, the comment and its metadata are retained indefinitely. This is so we can recognise and approve any follow-up comments automatically instead of holding them in a moderation queue.
For users that register on our website (if any), we also store the personal information they provide in their user profile. All users can see, edit, or delete their personal information at any time (except they cannot change their username). Website administrators can also see and edit that information.
What rights you have over your data
If you have an account on this site, or have left comments, you can request to receive an exported file of the personal data we hold about you, including any data you have provided to us. You can also request that we erase any personal data we hold about you. This does not include any data we are obliged to keep for administrative, regulatory legal, or security purposes.
Where we send your data
We do not send any data about you to anyone or any service, however, website visitor comments may be checked through an automated spam detection service at the point it has been submitted.
What automated decision making and/or profiling we do with user data
We do not conduct or operate any automated decision making or user/visitor profiling analytics on any data we keep.
